A little bit of Broadway in your own backyard!

The Music Theatre of Idaho (MTI, 501 (c) 3), is a non-profit corporation based in Nampa, Idaho.  Since 1997, the MTI’s mission has been to provide the Treasure Valley with professional quality, family-oriented, and affordable Broadway musicals.  The MTI performs in the beautiful Brandt Auditorium of the Nampa Civic Center.  The MTI is a member of the American Association of Community Theatre.

Each year, the MTI produces six musicals performed by an amazing cast of volunteer performers of all ages.  Volunteer musicians perform backstage at every show.  Everyone, regardless of talent, is welcome to audition for our shows.  Auditions take place in December, so visit our website in November for more information.

The MTI finances its productions with ticket sales, local sponsorships, and generous grants from:

Idaho Commission on the Arts

National Endowment for the Arts

The Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation

Zeal Marketing

The MTI firmly believes that arts participation should not be restricted to families of any particular economic status.  We understand that young people, who reguardly participate in the arts, greatly benefit as shown by higher grades in school, higher standardized test scores, and more positive relationships with their families and peers.

The MTI supports small business owners in Idaho.  The MTI purchases wood, costumes, and props from local small businesses whenever possible.  The MTI encourages ticketholders to enjoy dinner or desert before or after the show at the local cafes and restaurants.  The MTI recognizes that when local small businesses do well we all do well.

Thank you for your support!

Enjoy the show!
