COVID-19 PROCEDURES

Our clients, customers, and guests safety is are our number one priority.   Our staff will be here to make sure everything is clean, sanitized, and ready for guests.   We will monitor and assist guests in social distancing while attending a live performance from the MTI actors and performers.

The Music Theatre of Idaho has a plan in place for protecting our patrons, as well as our current cast members. All Cast members are being asked the 4 Big questions regarding COVID-19 every time they enter a building, as well as temperature checks, and Social distancing when possible.

The Nampa Civic Center has rolled out these rules for now-

  1. Sanitizing stations throughout the building and at every entrance door

  2. Signage for Social distancing guidelines posted. Tape on the floor outside the theater and in the concession and bathrooms for guests.

  3. The facility will be cleaned and sanitized by current guidance given.

  4. New filtration systems in our HVAC system

The Music Theatre of Idaho will be working alongside The Nampa Civic Center to continue to evaluate and adjust our rules as Phase 3 and 4 of Governor Little's Rebound Idaho regulations are announced.

COVID-19 UPDATE

The Music Theatre of Idaho, resident in Nampa, Idaho, for the past 23 years, felt the blows of the pandemic particularly hard. As a small business, centered on producing professional-quality productions of Broadway classics and newer pieces, has been continuously producing musicals for over 20 years, mostly at the Nampa Civic Center.

Last year, when mandates were required and auditoriums were shuttered, the MTI worked creatively to maintain its continuous streak of providing family-friendly entertainment to the Treasure Valley.  It was a tough job when the 600-seat Nampa Civic Center would only allow about 150 patrons (socially distanced by six feet). It brought potential revenues per show down to 30% of regular expectations. Through a lot of creative thinking, problem-solving, and advising from local health officials, the MTI made it through the pandemic, with our acting company and season subscribers intact.

Nampa recently relaxed restrictions on large groups and the Music Theatre of Idaho is celebrating with the amazing return of our Broadway season, featuring Andrew Lloyd Webers, EVITA, June 10, 11 and 12. Seating will be nearly full scale, with a small section of the auditorium reserved for those who would like to attend in a socially distanced manner.
